1. Trade
The brief was not about broad awareness. It was about targeted influence, placing Delaware in the path of senior financial services decision-makers at the right moments, in the right environments, at a cost that made commercial sense.
R4 approached this as a trading exercise first. Before a single placement was committed, disciplined pre-campaign negotiation had already secured significant trading efficiencies, reinvested directly into delivery before the campaign went live.
TRADING OUTCOMES
- 87% more value delivered than the cash outlay
- Material advantage secured before a single screen went live
- Premium, high-control environments aligned to professional commuter behaviour
- Every format selected to reach the right person, in the right state of mind, at the right moment in the MoneyLIVE event cycle
Trading focused on securing premium, high-control environments aligned to professional commuter behaviour, not volume for its own sake.
2. Plan
The media architecture was built on behavioural qualification, not demographic segmentation.
The MoneyLIVE Summit attracts senior financial services professionals, but the strategy extended beyond event attendees to the broader professional cohort moving through London's core financial infrastructure daily.
AUDIENCE SEGMENTATION
Using Experian Mosaic segmentation, TfL movement data and commuter flow modelling, the campaign concentrated exposure across five high-index audience groups:
- Corporate Clusters
- Prestige Positions
- City Prosperity
- Rental Hubs
- Digital Dependents
All over-indexing for financial services engagement, enterprise technology adoption and B2B decision-making.
FORMAT SELECTION
Three formats were selected across four stations and thirty-three screens.
Canary Wharf Digital Gateway. Two dual-sided large-format screens at the entrance and exit of Canary Wharf Underground station, positioning Delaware at the primary morning arrival point into London's financial district and embedding the brand within established AM commuter routines ahead of and throughout the Summit.
Underground Digital 12-Sheets. Placed at King's Cross St Pancras, Highbury & Islington and Angel, these screens positioned Delaware in high-dwell environments directly aligned to professional interchange traffic and the event venue approach, sustaining visibility across both pre-event build-up and the Summit itself.
Underground Digital 6-Sheets. Twenty-six screens across Premier Underground stations with concentrated weight at King's Cross St Pancras and Bank, capturing the highest density of C-suite, Director and Head-of-level professionals moving between financial districts and the MoneyLIVE venue. Farringdon and Angel reinforced City, Elizabeth Line and event-area coverage.
STRATEGIC PRINCIPLE
The strategy was designed to follow the natural movement of the target audience through inbound commute, event participation and outbound travel, ensuring Delaware maintained consistent visibility across the full professional journey.
3. Activate
The campaign ran from 9 to 22 March 2026, aligned to the MoneyLIVE Summit and its surrounding pre-event window. Execution was treated as a live system, not a set-and-leave schedule.
VERIFICATION STANDARDS
Every format was independently validated in-market, not modelled. R4 confirmed:
- Copy integrity across all placements
- Screen functionality and rotation compliance
- Booked volume accuracy across all thirty-three screens
- Pre-campaign and live-window delivery checks
DELIVERY APPROACH
- Timed to peak commuter periods
- Consistent presence during decision-making moments
- Formats that could not be delivered to standard were removed, not substituted
By 09:03 on day one, the campaign had already generated inbound response.
4. Result
Across thirty-three screens, four stations and three formats, the campaign delivered:
KEY METRICS
- 937,000 total reach
- 5.82 average frequency
- 5,455,000 verified impacts
DELIVERY PERFORMANCE
- Paid plays booked: 44,640
- Plays delivered: 86,185
- 93% more media than contracted, effectively double
- Digital D6 network delivered at 218.8% of booked volume
- Canary Wharf Gateway delivered at 167.76%
The achieved frequency reflects deliberate concentration within a defined, high-value professional audience, prioritising depth of exposure over diluted scale.
The campaign successfully embedded Delaware within the daily movement patterns of its target audience, driving recognition, recall and direct engagement at the point of event attendance. This establishes a repeatable, verified execution model for future event-led and B2B activations.
"Working with R4 was a great experience from start to finish. As this was a big step into a new channel for us, choosing the right partner was crucial, and R4 quickly proved they were exactly that. They took the time to really understand our brand and translated that into a campaign that felt authentic and impactful. The entire process was smooth and well-managed, making what could have been a complex project feel straightforward and stress-free. During the campaign, when a technical issue arose with one of the screens, R4 handled everything directly with the media owner and ensured it was resolved efficiently, including securing appropriate compensation on our behalf. Their proactive approach gave us real confidence throughout. The campaign itself exceeded expectations in terms of performance, and even weeks after it finished, we’re still hearing positive feedback about it. We wouldn’t hesitate to work with R4 again." - Naomi Morgan Growth, Marketing Manager
